10 Reasons to go to Ibiza

My first blog….where shall I start?

I just love to share my love for this island. And that’s what I’m going to write about in this first blog as well. Sometimes people ask me, “ are you going to Ibiza again, don’t you like to go somewhere else?” I have seen many places and countries, but if you’ve ever been at Ibiza you understand my feeling. Ibiza makes the difference! If you have never been there, I will give you 10 reasons to go!!

1. 1It’s a paradise near home

Just a two hour flight flight from Holland in my case, you have this paradise en colorful island with it’s aqua blue sea, white beaches, palmtrees and everything you can wish for to have a great holiday.
As soon as you put your feet on the ibicenco earth you will get a warm welcome from the magical vibes from this sunny island, and you will feel a huge sense of freedom. Everything is possible, everything is oke, nothing is weird. And that goes for all ages and everybody.

2. The most beautiful beaches and bays

Ibiza has the most beautiful beaches and bays. First of all you will find that beautiful agua blue sea all around the island. So why go to the Maldives when you have Ibiza?
It’s surrounded by palmtrees, or beautiful forrest, it has mountains and at a lot of places the seawater is cristal clear. What’s better then start your day with those kind of views? Can you feel it already , with a cocktail in your hand, the smell of coconut en a nice breeze through your hair? ( and at many places they are playing nice chill out music at the background )

3. The Sunset

The most beautiful sunsets are really at Ibiza! There are so many beautiful places, bays and beaches from where you can enjoy those beautiful sunset views. And it’s possible in so many ways; together with your love having a romantic picnic with view at Es Vedra, or together with a lot of people enjoying the hippy’s playing the drums while the sun goes down.( Benirras ) Or at the well known Café del Mar? Everyone can enjoy it on their own way and find your own hotspot.

4. Lovely Food

There’s a lot of love for food at Ibiza. People take their time to lunch or have dinner. At sea or at one of the beautiful gardens from the restaurants, that are decorated with love in the typical Ibiza style. And that’s how you get decorated you food on your plate as well, with love, and that makes it will taste even better. Doesn’t it? Good fish dishes , as well as the classic paella or the tapas, for everyone there is a kitchen at this island. All prepared with love.

You have to go to the hippy markets. Come on, you are at a hippy island! It belongs to Ibiza. There are many hippy’s at the island, and they make clothes, jewelry, leather bags and that kind of stuff and they sell it at these markets. You will find the typical products from Ibiza on these markets as well. And besides that it’s a colorful presentation from all the stalls and that is worth visiting. You can eat there as well. You can’t compare it with any other markets.

7. Peaceful

Quietness and peaceful surroundings at Ibiza? Oh yes there are many! Of course Ibiza is known as a party island, and many people are visiting every summer, but you can find a lot of quiet and peaceful places and spots. The most beautiful silent beach bays, little small charming villages, that’s where you get to know the real Ibiza and island vibes. Where you can meet the locals at a small bar in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by tree houses and that’s it. So nice!! The small country roads you will find when you go exploring the island on your scooter or by car. The smell of pine trees or the view of fruit or olive trees. That’s Ibiza as well.

8. Ibiza love & Let’s get married

In a romantic way, in hippy style or a big party event, it’s al possible. I am no wedding planner, but I see a lot of possibility’s here to organise one of the most beautiful days in your life, when you are getting married. There’s a lot of beautiful locations in many different styles and ways, where you can give excellent party’s or have dinner with your loves ones. What’s more beautiful then say yes to each other with the beautiful aqua blue sea on the background of your ceremony and the sun on your skin? Or a proposal at the sunset at a silent beautiful bay?

But celebrating your thirtieth or fortieth birthday to mention another idea at a beautiful location or garden from a good restaurant with your loved ones isn’t a bad idea either is it? Did I inspire you for some ideas?

9. Style & Decoration

Besides the Ibiza vibes which you will feel everywhere at the island, also the Ibiza style and way of decorating is a marked item at the island. Everything is taken care of with love and care. There’s a lot of attention for furnishing the hotels, the shops, the restaurants en the gardens. And no it’s not kitschy ( some things are but that makes it special on a ibiza way ) everywhere the nature is taken care of and treated with respect. And that’s what you feel at this island, the love from everybody who lives there, who works there or is visiting it. Everyone does enjoy it on their own way and that’s shown in many different ways and aspects.

10. Exploring & Hotspots

There is much to see, to explore and there are many things you can do at the island. Visit the hotspots from the other side and go over sea for a change. With a bit of luck you will see some dolphins as well. Formentera is also very nice to visit. And there beautiful bays to go snorkel. By driving around the island you will find the most beautiful places and hotspots. Go, find out and feel the vibes!
